The former Mayor of Westhampton Beach, reflecting a common refrain amongĀ municipal officials who turned to the company for expertise overseeing public works projects on eastern Long Island, said in a recent interview, "Sandpebble is out of sight." Robert Strebel added that the company, which acts in place of a general contractor - but does not take a percentage of contracts costs as a fee, as would the general contractor-"scrutinized every bill" that contractors submitted to the village. "We pay nobody until they look at it." "I cannot say enough good about it. You cannot put up a public project and not have sandpebble," Mr. Strebel said.
